Seeker 16

The Early Rider Seeker 16 occupies a compelling position in the 16-inch kids' bike market: it brings genuine trail bike specification to a wheel size typically associated with basic path riding. The combination of hydraulic disc brakes, a disc-specific frame, and Kenda Booster tyres makes it a genuinely different option for families who ride together off-road.

Crux hydraulic disc brakes with 140mm rotors front and rear deliver powerful, consistent stopping regardless of conditions. For young riders tackling descents, wet roots, or loose gravel, the confidence that comes from reliable braking cannot be overstated. Short-reach Crux levers are proportioned for children's hands, requiring less grip strength to activate and offering better modulation than cable alternatives.

Kenda Booster 16 x 2.25" 30TPI tyres are meaningfully wider and more aggressively patterned than standard kids' bike tyres. This wider contact patch improves cornering grip, stability on loose surfaces, and overall trail confidence. Disc-specific double-walled AL6061 rims with 24h lacing, through-axle fitment front and rear (12 x 100mm / 12 x 125mm), and black stainless steel spokes complete a wheel package built for real riding.

The single-speed Crux drivetrain - 26t chainring with dual chain guard, KMC X9 chain, and Crux 15t cassette - provides a clean, reliable drivetrain well-suited to trail riding where gears are rarely needed and simplicity is a virtue. The rigid 6061-T6 aluminium fork keeps steering direct and responsive.

At 6.3kg, the Seeker 16 is impressively light for its specification level. The 500mm wide butted aluminium bars with 19mm grip area and 1" rise position riders comfortably for extended off-road sessions. Available in Brushed, Sage Green, Violet Haze, and Arctic Blue.
