The RST F1RST suspension fork delivers 100mm of travel through a tapered steerer, soaking up technical trail surfaces and giving confident, controlled handling on descents. The tapered sealed bearing headset - rated ZS44/56 - complements the fork with a stiff, responsive front end that communicates trail conditions clearly without transmitting every bump to the rider's hands.

Shimano Deore 10-speed rear derailleur, paired with Shimano CUES 10-speed trigger shifters and an 11-43t LinkGlide cassette, delivers a substantial and well-calibrated gear range. The wide cassette means the Charger 24 can climb steep technical sections that would stop lesser junior bikes, while the top gear keeps faster riders spinning efficiently on flatter terrain. The KMC eGlide EPT chain is corrosion-resistant and designed for durability in variable conditions.

Tektro J2820 hydraulic disc brakes with 160mm rotors front and rear offer precise, powerful stopping performance. At the speeds a confident 10-year-old can reach on 24-inch wheels, reliable braking is not optional - it is fundamental. The through-axle wheel interface, 12 x 100mm front and 12 x 142mm rear, maximises stiffness and tracking precision.

Schwalbe Smart Sam 24 x 2.35" 67TPI tyres are at home on hardpack singletrack, gravel paths, and variable woodland terrain. A Samox alloy crankset with 30t narrow-wide chainring and the Early Rider Wing 2 saddle complete a package that weighs in at 11.5kg - respectable for a bike of this calibre.
