Belter 14

The Early Rider Belter 14 sits at the heart of the Belter range - a no-nonsense, high-quality kids' bike that gives children aged roughly 3 to 5 everything they need and nothing they don't. Built around a lightweight 6061-T6 aluminium frame with a V-Brake design, it is noticeably lighter than steel alternatives, which makes a genuine difference when a 4-year-old is learning to steer, balance, and brake.

At this stage in a child's development, simplicity is a feature. The Belter 14 runs a single-speed drivetrain with a Crux alloy crankset, 30-tooth chainring and dual chain guard, paired to a reliable cassette rear hub. Children can focus entirely on riding rather than managing gears, and parents can relax knowing the setup is dependable and easy to maintain.

Braking is handled by Tektro 837AL V-Brakes front and rear, operated by child-sized Tektro JL350-RS levers designed for small hands. Effective, predictable stopping power is critical for young riders building confidence, and Tektro's reliable components deliver exactly that. Kenda Aptor 14 x 1.75" tyres with 30 TPI offer a well-balanced combination of rolling speed and grip on varied surfaces.

The rigid aluminium fork, sealed bearing headset, and butted aluminium bars are all sized precisely for smaller riders, ensuring the Belter 14 feels natural to control rather than like an oversized bike being wrestled into submission. Double-walled AL6061 rims front and rear, laced with black stainless steel spokes, add strength and longevity.
