There's a point where a child stops being a beginner and starts being a cyclist. The Early Rider Belter 24 is designed for exactly that rider - confident, capable, and ready for a bike that matches their ambition without leaving them wrestling with unnecessary complexity.

The 6061-T6 aluminium disc brake frame is the foundation of everything the Belter 24 offers. Lightweight, stiff, and designed for a rider who's going to push it, the frame's disc brake-specific design accommodates the 160mm Tektro J2850 hydraulic disc rotors front and rear - a serious braking upgrade over V-Brake systems that delivers consistent, powerful stopping in all conditions, wet or dry.

Gearing comes via a Shimano Nexus 8-speed internal hub at the rear, operated by Shimano 8-speed twist shifters. Internal hub gearing is an elegant choice for children: the full range of 8 gears is accessible without a delicate external derailleur to bend or knock out of alignment. Maintenance requirements are minimal, and the drivetrain stays clean regardless of conditions.

The Crux 2pc alloy crankset with 34t chainring and dual chain guard pairs with a Crux 25t cassette to deliver a well-calibrated gear range for a child on 24-inch wheels. Schwalbe Billy Bonkers 24 x 2.0" 60TPI tyres provide confident rolling performance on tarmac, gravel, and school paths alike.

At 10.2kg, the Belter 24 is well-managed in weight for a fully-equipped 24-inch bike. The 640mm wide butted aluminium bars and 27.2mm alloy seatpost with Early Rider Wing 2 saddle complete a package built to carry older children further and faster. Available in Brushed, Forest Green, Electric Purple, and Nordic Blue.
